Blouses, bouffants and bad shampoo choices!

I'm forever on the search for an all rounder shampoo! I'm usually a Tigi girl as i love the huge pump bottles they come in, they last me months! However after working my way through most of the range i hadn't found one that i completely loved, there was always at least one niggly thing i didn't like. Mainly i look for a shampoo that volumises, nourishes and foams well. I have so much hair that i need the shampoo to froth a lot to make it feel clean, if that makes any sense lol :)

Any way i popped into TX maxx the other day and they had no Tigi in stock so i was lured into the pretty packaging of Tilly Parker. It didn't smell great but i thought as the rrp is £25 i thought it must be worth a whirl! The moral of this tale is don't be tempted by pretty, professional looking packaging! The shampoo resembles hand soap and i need around eight pumps to wash my hair....and i do two shampoos so you can see this isn't going to last me long! The conditioner is thin and resembles how the shampoo should be! However it did leave my hair feeling full of volume!! So now I'm catch twenty two, i love the results but hate using the product! Has any one else tried this range? It allowed me to create a nice bouffant today that i did a couple of hours ago and it hasn't deflated as of yet :)

On another note i got this lovely blouse, its sold out in my size from newlook so i went to my next port of call...Ebay! Unfortunately the picture looked nude but when it came it was pink! I will still be on the hunt for the nude one because its the one i actually wanted!

Review: Vaseline cocoa butter oil

Well its officially winter, and with that come even drier skin for me! Lately the skin on my shins has been itchy and almost shiny in appearance as it is so dehydrated. I have countless body creams in my drawer but i hate the way most leave a white film on my skin and leave me cold whilst they're soaking in! So when i saw a review on Vaselines Cocoa butter oil i just had to try it!

Firstly it smells like brown sugar and cocoa..Yum! Brazilian nut and almond oil make this oil so hydrating and softening on the skin. The best part about this product is that when you rub it in its so warming, perfect for winter. I have used this for the past week and a little goes a long way, plus my skin has never felt softer!

I was worried that oil would stain my cream bed sheets, however i haven't found this to be true as it soaks in very quickly and is almost gel like in formulation. All in all this gets a big thumbs up from me, it really is the lazy girls answer to moisturising as you don't have to spend so long laboriously trying to rub heavy creams into the skin. Definitely worth popping into your trolley come next tescos shop :)

Ive been obsessed with everything peach lately, i find it compliments my skin tone and most importantly it makes me look darker, thumbs up all round! Ive decided to give Essie polishes a whirl, i usually stick to Jessica and OPI but after seeing haute as hello on khloe kardashian i HAD to have it! I also decided to pick up Van d Go which is a gorgeous creamy peach! First coat applied, i did start to worry that id fallen for a streaky polish, however after two coats the colour evened out and I'm in love!

I then decided to use peachy tones on my mug :)

Although it is extreme, i find i stick to it as it takes the thought of food away completely as you just have 3 milkshakes a day! Anyway i will be taking before and after pictures and when I've lost some chub i will pop the piccys on here and tell anyone that wants to know a little more about it :)

Attack of the frizz!

My hair is so prone to frizz, its uber porous and the slightest bit of moisture or sweat sets it off into fuzz mode!! Anyone else have this problem?? I always feel like everyone elses hair looks sleek and shiny and mine looks frizzy and dull, maybe its just me!!

Anyway for the last week I've been using a dynamic duo that have seemed to work!

Ive been using Tigi's afterparty which is a smoothing cream on the ends and headrush, which is a shine and anti-frizz spray near the roots. Normally any products near my oily roots is a no-no, but this product is so light so no problems there! As you can see from the before and after pictures the two together definitely make a difference and, for now have solved my little dilemma!

Does anyone else have frizz problems...if so tell me your secrets lol!

I lost my mojo....For the past month Ive had writers block!! We've all been there! I think the summer in general is a lot quieter on the blogging front, i actually peel my booty from my bed and go out when the weathers nice lol!! Also I'm on a huge saving project for Florida next year so i haven't spent much on makeup!

I have however had a few splurges, and here are a few of my favourite things:

Dress h&m...i have it in taupe too :) a little daring for me (its not black lol) but i love how feminine it is!

Anne summers bra, i normally find their stuff tacky but this im in love with, and it really gives good support, normally pretty ones don't for me!

Move over ghd!!

A while ago i was approached by style rush to review their straighteners, now as an avid GHD fan with crazy thick and wavy hair i was doubtful that they'd be up to much! How wrong was i.....My GHDs are now currently gathering dust and i now use stylerush straighteners..shock horror! I even took them on holiday (soooo much less weight that ghds,more case weight for shoes :)

Theses seem to run more smoothly through my hair than my GHDS, the plates are also more "cushiony" so it doesn't feel like I'm clamping my hair in a vice lol! All in all i love these babies...even though they are smaller than my large paddle GHDs they straighten my hair in less time, i find i don't have to go over the same piece twice so that's a plus!

I love the colour, sleekness and how light these are :)....I know most people own GHDs but just encase they break, or you need a new pair you should definitely give these a chance. They also are the only straighteners that I've managed to curl my hair with..yaaaayyy..i always found GHDs tugged towards the end of my hair!

Three things I love about me :)

My ethnicity: I love being a mongrel lol!!! My dad is half swedish, half sri lanken! I love this, not only does it give me a killer tan in the summer i feel a little more unique and exotic (maybe im kidding myself lol)
My hair: this is kind of my security blanket..i love having long hair i feel so feminine, and after 7 years of growing it i should damn well love it!
Im the most loyal person you will ever meet, which in turn i feel makes me a pretty fab friend! I am very reliable and give everything..but this is not always great as in the past people have taken advantage of this quality :(

Loves:

Finding old songs: when i was sorting out my car to sell i found tonnes of cds...before the days of ipods!! Couldn't resist listening to them...here are a few i completely forgot i loved..Sophia literally makes me feel so goose pimply i love her voice!! I also love memories attached to it:)

Looking after my hair: Effort of applying masks, leaving conditioner on for more than 30 secs has really paid off, my ends look much better!!

Finally selling my car: Its nice to have that weight off my shoulders, its nice that i can now start looking to buy a new one that hopefully wont be another dud lol :)

Hates:

My brother: Haha not in too much of a mean way..but he has a little obsession of getting his saw mask and jumping out on me..hes 21 just to stress how weird this is lol..heart attack soon me thinks! Why do men love scaring us girls??

Politics: Yes its important to vote, but do any of them ever deliver what they promise?hmmmm?!

Right im off...mainly to check if my brother is hiding in my cupboard etc lol!!

Kerastase hair masque review :)

I'm going on holiday in less than a month, and given how long and thick my hair is i thought id better start prepping it for the sizzling sun! Because of the length of my hair and the colours I've applied over the years, its quite damaged and brittle at the ends! It can often feel waxy and rough at the ends so it was time to take action!

So i went to my salon and had a treatment, they shampooed my hair and then left the masque on for 30 mins. I was so impressed i bought a tub of kerastatse nutritive, the smell (which i think smells like fresh linen..love) stayed in my hair all day and night, a few friends at dinner asked about my perfume and it was actually my hair they could smell! My hair felt so silky, bouncy and not at all weighed down and limp.

Since then i have deep conditioned it every two weeks, i wash my hair and then towel dry it..this is important as wet hair means the hair cuticle is flooded with water so it cannot absorb any product until slightly dried! Then i slap on the good stuff from my chin down through to the ends and pop in a bun....then i grab a sexy shower cap and let the heat from my head help the product absorb! I tend to leave this on for hours, the longer the better in my opinion, as i like the scent to last! I may look like a deli worker, but my hair loves me for it :)

Now i know hair masques can be expensive, this one cost me £23 (cheaper online tho :)) but i have tried budget masques and they just do not compare. For one the scent does not last in the hair, and they left my hair limp :( I tried the superdrug coconut and henna ones, and seriously, yes they're cheap but its an utter waste of money for someone with hair like mine who needs expensive nutrients and minerals (it contains glucose, proteins and lipids) to repair the hair...so my advice is spend a little extra and you wont regret it!!

Has anyone tried this masque? Or do you have any other faves from the kerastase range?

Gu chocolate banoffee pots: Banoffee is by far my favourite desert, and its my pudding speciality when i throw dinner parties!! So im slightly addicted to these little pots of joy, they're quite pricey normally but in tescos they're £2 at the moment for two..so go treat yourself..also they come in cute little glass pots (I'm guessing this is why they are so expensive) which im going to re-use to make mini banoffees :) how very come dine with me esque lol!!

Come dine with me/coach trip: I love these shows, I've bracketed these together as they're equally as geekish..i love the narrator and when things go wrong in come dine with me, plus i love having a snoop at peoples homes!! And Brendan is the best tour guide like....ever lol..i want to go on coach trip lol!! The funny thing is..i used to watch both of these shows years ago and my friends used to rip me for it..now these shows have become cults lol!!

MAC hue: Nothing new here but god i love this lippy, been wearing it non-stop!

Vlogs: I love these..mainly due to the fact that i am a nosey parker...i cant get enough of glossgoss' im hooked lol, and she always shows yummy food and makes me hungry!

Hates

Stress: With all the interviews Ive been having I'm so stressed, it really does effect everything, hair, skin and the way i react to other people (been a right snap dragon) i hate it go away soon please lol!

Its no secret i love Jessica polishes, I've worked with them for five years and really cannot fault them. The colour range is phenomenal, along with OPI it provides by far the best choice of colours. It dries ridiculously quick, but doesn't drag and the brush for me provides perfect movement to sweep around the cuticle..jobs a good'n lol!

However I'm usually into my plums, chocs and raspberries! The only light colour I've even gone back to time after time is "tutti frutti" Pinks usually leave my hands looking ashy and lifeless, but tutti has a coral tinge to it with gold shimmer running through it to warm it up :)

I really recommend this colour if you suit gold jewellery...warm tones basically...I've used it on cooler tones countless times and it doesn't work so well. I really couldn't get a good picture to do this justice, it really is such and unusual colour..I've never seen anything like it and wanted to share the love :)

Anyone tried this colour, and do you share my passion for Jessica?

For a long time now..things have been going...how do i put this....tits up for me lol!! Nothing has been easy, i know in comparison my problems are a mere scratch when it come to real problems, but you know what its like when everything is just going so wrong and all you want is a tiny bit of luck!

Firstly I couldn't afford to run my huge engine car anymore so i popped it on auto trader...two days later the clutch goes..so i ended up having to let it sell for peanuts :(

Then my best friend of 14 years goes travelling :(

And finally, they say it happens in threes lol...as i blogged before..i left my job at a salon to work as an estate agent with the promise of better hours so i could concentrate on my makeup..putting myself on courses and doing lots of wedding makeups with my free weekends! Well, that was an absolute disaster...9-7 no lunch, no contract, horrible boss and out trying to sell a property on my own on the second day...joke right. Id hoped that job would provide me with lots of confidence etc but in reality it was making me less confident as i was left to deal with things i had no idea about which made me feel stupid...i was promised adequate training also..boy do estate agents lie lol!!

Well anyway since then I've been doing freelance work for a studio near me and just general bits and bobs to ensure bills are paid etc! Then here's where fate steps in....I'm a huge believer in fate and i truly believe no matter what the situation..all things happen for a reason, we may not realise the relevance of the lesson at the time..but one day you'll be thankful for all that went wrong as it led you to good places in life!

So i went to MAC to get my back to MAC (remember I'm unemployed, this was the only way to get a free fix lol) and every time i go in i do the same...ask if any jobs are going and what courses they would recommend...and it turned out i was chatting to the manageress..who noticed i had a pro card and asked what part of the industry i was in etc...We got chatting about the makeup i do for photo shoots and she seemed very impressed and then passed me a receipt with a link on it..she told me to go to the site and said id be perfect for the assistant managers role. Me being me with no confidence, thought id never get through the phone interview..but i did :) Today i had my verbal interview, and then when i got home an hour later i had a note from my excited mum telling me to call mac back...i have my practical interview tomorrow...now i am practically over the moon...i know i shouldn't get so excited as the job is by no means mine yet, but its so hard not to, this is my dream job...i think id cry if i got it..and trust me I'm not a cry baby lol! So just wanted to share my excitement..and if i don't get the job..i guess that's fate again..but things seem to be looking up for me now, happy days :)

I popped to Cambridge on Sunday to get some flip flops...now is it me but are there no nice flip flops...well correction there are some lovely ones in accessorize if you don't mind forking out £45..jeeez!! I don't like the ankle strap ones as i feel they make my legs look even thicker than they already are..i just want some bronze/gold thong leather ones...impossible lol! Well anyway..disappointed with the selection i ended up buying 2 cheap pairs for round the pool in primark..and then i came back with loads of stuff i really didn't need...why oh why do we do this lol?!!

Orange sherbet stripey top...river island, this looks so cute with leggings, heels and a cardy,makes me look super tanned too!!

Floral primark top! I love that this is long enough to wear with leggings..i live in leggings if you couldn't tell already lol!

Mink ruffle top: Topshop! This is sooooo super soft, makes me feel super feminine. I also got the peach/nude cardi from topshop too! I just love all of the nudes and peaches around at the mo!

Also guys and dolls let me know what you think of my new layout etc i love it but im still unsure if its a bit too fussy?!!

Sunshine: Down my way we've been having lots, which means weekends at the coast with ice cream and chips..heaven :)

Making money on eBay: Ha ha I've sold so much lately, i love how great it feels to de-clutter my room and make some moolar at the same time!!

Nars mykonos: I love this cream eyeshadow, I've had it well over a year but somehow it worked its way to the bottom of my box and now I'm rekindling my love!

Selling my car: Ive put my car on auto trader, i want a mini cooper convertible, but god i hate all the agro that goes with selling a car..pain in the butt!!!

I've been rubbish on the blogging front lately, so i thought this type of post will be easy to stick to, and will help me get through my review of products in a quicker, more condensed way :)

Loves:

Dove summer glow body lotion: I love this stuff, i picked up the dark version and i cannot believe how much this stuff tans me! i applied it once and look at the colour difference! (I had a plaster on my arm from holiday injections, turned out to be a good guide of colour when i took it off lol) This also smells great and doesn't have a nasty cornflake smell lol!

Special k kiwi and strawberry protein drink: A lovely fellow blogger called violet sent me these from the U.S i love them, only 30 cals and the protein stops hunger pangs! Did i mention theyre pink and scrummy?

Making jewellery: I have several school fetes coming up so Ive been making oodles of jewels, i find it so relaxing and therapeutic, if only i could make a living out of the things i enjoy grrrr!

Hates:

Spring?? I cant keep up, one minute its hot the next its cold..make up your mind Mr weather man!

Giving up cola: I drink far too much of this stuff, and if I'm to lose any weight and cellulite before my hol in June..this HAS to go :(

I thought I'd better do a quick post to explain for my lack of them lol!

The thing is I have been pretty stressed these last few weeks...its all down to a huge decision I've had to make!

It may not seem like a huge step to many people, but to me changing my job has been a huge one. This is due to the fact that I have left my profession completely!

As most of you know I am a beauty therapist, and have been for four years. And I'm sure your all aware of how badly paid the industry is! Well I am getting to the age where id like to start thinking about moving out, and on my current wage this just isn't an option :(...so I have decided to leave the industry completely and now I'm going to work at an estate agents..random I know!!

However I have a slight Jekyll and Hyde syndrome at the moment..one side of me says "yep you have definatly made the right decision", it will mean better career prospects, long hours but in the long run I will be making more money and gaining more of a challenge! Also the estate agents allows me to have Sat's off to do wedding makeups etc, all of which I've had to turn down in the past as i work EVERY sat! The other side says why leave a career I'm passionate about and trained so hard for!

I hope you can see why I've been so stressed..I know people say its only a job, but I hate the thought of making the wrong decision. And for me its such a big one!

So basically I need words of wisdom...have any of you guys made a huge career decision..regretted it..or has it been the best move you ever made?

On a slightly girly note..any ideas on places to get lush office wear?!

I felt i haven't blogged an awful lot recently..mainly due to my two hobbies which seem to be taking over my life lol!! Anyone who's on my face book will know I'm currently setting up a jewellery business and doing a lot of work in studios doing makeup and styling! I love both, and hopefully they will bring me a little extra money, hey even a new career may come of it?! All i know is i adore the creativity and diversity being a make up artist can offer..if only it was an easier industry to crack :( also training is ridiculously priced boo hoo! So, the next product from my box of goodies: Mums ballistics.

Now I know they're intended for mummy's but I couldn't help myself, I had to have one, okay two of these flower lollipops! I got the candy fluff and sakura, one because they were pink, and two I thought they were my kind of scents :)

First off let me start by saying as a gift £3.50 each is fine..but for myself I don't think I would spend it again for what it was :s

I loved the scent of sakura..similar to karma..but I hated the candy fluff...for me it smelt great in the shop but in the bath it had a really floral after scent which I hate :(

These are extremely fizzy and make the water a lovely strong colour and scent! The scent lasted on my skin, although I didn't find it nourishing at all. I like bath products that allow me not to moisturise..because I'm lazy lol!

One last cute note to add...the leaf on the flower has seeds pressed into it so you can grow wild flowers....sweet or what? xx

There comes a time, doesn't there, when you rekindle your love for an old, forgotten product.

Where have you been for the past few years of my life spray starch??

I used to use this stuff all the time when i worked as a junior in a hair salon..and for some reason when i left i just never got around to repurchasing.

My hair is thick and really holds moisture..to the point that i can go to bed with wet hair and it still be damp in the morning..nightmare lol! So the last few times I've gone out, whether I've curled or straightened my hair as soon as I've started to get a little hot in a bar/club my hair is attacked by frizz!!

Now, before i straighten or put my hair in rollers i spritz this over my dry hair. The smell is gorgeous by the way :) It really does as the name suggests..it starches the hair, giving your style a 'memory'..so the curl or straightness will stay put! However don't let the starch part put you off it leaves the hair flexible..not crispy and stiff like you'd imagine!

Ive used this on a few nights out now...I've danced like a mad woman and my hair hasn't frizzed and its held its style amazingly...id thoroughly recommend this to anyone who's hair is thick and unruly and tends to frizz on nights out, FYI..my friends with fine hair hated this..oh and if you've ever visited Florida this is a must have for your suitcase...humidity hell :))))

RRP: £12.25...however it can be found much cheaper on the web!

Unfortunately, melting marshmallow moment went to its watery grave before i got chance to take a picture :) so the one off the lush website will have to do!

This bath melt smells super sweet, which with me is always a winner! The scent reminds me of the soft pastel coloured rock you can get at the seaside..random but i think i good description lol!

This turned my water a lovely milky, baby pink colour. The melt foamed when i picked it out of the water, and it actually looked like a marshmallow when i did this..super fun…this one definitely brings out the curious child in me..i kept pulling it out of the bath to sneak a peak at how much marshmallow was left :) any one else do this??

I love this product, it made my skin very silky and i didn't feel much need to moisturise afterwards..although the scent didn't last too long on my skin :( I should also add that at £3.50 i consider this quite expensive compared to others. I tried to break this one in half like i do with the bars but it wasn't having any of it…so i think this works out quite an expensive treat..but a good one :)

After seeing holly’s haul video on all the goodies H&M had to offer i decided to pop to Cambridge for a bit of retail therapy!

I was after the peacock top in her haul..but no such luck..seriously I'm desperate for this top grrrr! Anywhoooo, i still got some lovely bits, Holly is right there are some really different pieces in there at the mo…but what i have noticed is that H&M’s prices have increased a lot :S

I got a peach and charcoal grey ruffle top..i love the length of these and they are surprisingly flattering for horizontal stripes. I love how feminine these are. Also these are really versatile i would wear these with a cardi, boots and leggings to a meal or with leggings high heels and bling for a night out! Good job they're so versatile considering they were £30 each!! P.s..i didn't mean to look so snobby in the 2nd pic hahah!!

Also i got 2 cardigans..the cream one from top shop..i love the woven detail and then the purple from Zara..it was a bargain at £6.99 and the colour is very unique….as you can tell i have a little obsession with cardis, i think they finish off any outfit and i prefer wearing them to coats…at the current count i own 24, yikes!!

Is shopping in H&M kids wrong?? lol!

I love the baggy hat trend..but my head is too small…either that or my hair is too glossy as they will not stay on my head!!! I've tried Kirby gripping them on too..grrr! So i went to Lakeside and Blue water on Sunday and whilst shopping in H&M i decided to go swoon over the hello kitty stuff in the kids department and stumbled over the cutest hat…and guess what it fits me lol!

I'm sure i looked a Pratt trying on children's hats but oh well…i love it! It has a cute beige bow on it too!! Did i mention i loooove bows lol! they also had it in grey with a pink bow! what do you think??

Oh and did i mention:£2.99 :))))))

I also had to make a quick pit stop at primarni and got this gorgeous bag..it makes a stylish laptop case as i take mine everywhere, but I'm sure it will double up well as a holiday holdall :)

Vichy review…

Ok, before i review these products..i have a tiny little rant!!! I do not want to seem ungrateful in any way so please do not take this in the wrong context…but..I am getting really fed up with companies sending out their products to soooo many bloggers at one time. I appreciate that they want their product to be well tested and advertised but i feel a little disappointed when i get excited about sharing a new product with you..only to find that several other bloggers on my list have already reviewed it. I can only imagine that it gets boring for my followers too? This isn't a dig at Vichy, in fact it has happened a lot…remember all the Maybelline mascara reviews anyone lol?! It kind of makes me not want to review the product even if i love it as i worry it will be old news etc?! Am I wrong for saying this, or does anyone else feel the same? Its lovely that companies send me things i just wish they would maybe send each blogger they chose maybe one product so we each have a different one to review rather than 6 cleanser reviews! Just a point i wanted to bring up to see if it is just me who feels this way?

Anyway…i got sent the cleanser, moisturiser and body cream-milk!

Firstly i must say i love the packaging…pink! :) It seems like a very spring/summer product to me, the scent lends itself to those seasons too. It is a very fresh and light smelling product range which i like for the daytime!

My favourite product of the bunch is the body cream, and to be honest it is the only one of the three I will repurchase. I think it is spot on for what i require from a body cream:

It is rich but soaks in straight away, no nasty white film and rubbing for minutes on end lol!
Very moisturising
Doesn't lift fake tan…over the xmas period I've worn fake tan. my normal body butters lift the tan due to high oil content but this beauty doesn't..extra brownie points :)

The cleanser and moisturiser are again good but i do feel i have tried better products for my skin personally…the body cream is definitely worth a try especially if you wear fake tan or are impatient with waiting for moisturisers to soak in..like me lol :)

For Christmas the lovely people at the body shop sent me a gift card worth £20!

It was burning a hole in my pocket…so naturally i was straight to spend it :)

I love Christmas sales at the body shop as the butters are soooo cheap and limited edition scents are available. I usually stock up on peach and raspberry but since i have so many of these i got the passion fruit body butter and scrub and also the raspberry scrub!

I wish you could scratch and sniff because these smell divine…i also love how the scrubs have real seeds in them…v cute!

Getting into the festive spirit!

I don't know about you guys but i haven't been feeling very festive…maybe its due to the recession but I'm seriously skint…i normally spend more on wrapping the present than the actual gift :) I just think the presentation of a gift is soooo important. Last year i wrapped my gifts in brown paper, tied them with a red gingham bow and attached homemade salt dough ginger bread men to the bows! I wish i had a picture to show you :(

However this year due to lack of funds and time I've had to settle with good old Primark…pinks not for everyone at xmas but i think this xmas wrap idea looks good for the little time I've had…i just the little glittery birds are so cute and cheap :)

Also some of my like minded doggy lovers might appreciate my pets xmas presents…yes she's spoilt…fat tummy's all round this xmas :)

Ok, so i know there has been LOTS of lush reviews lately but I just have to rant about my two favourite lush products…I'm surprised i haven't seen them blogged about before as i think they smell DEVINE :)

Also call me mad but unlike lots of fellow bloggers and friends i never get a headache in lush…in fact id love to work with that scent all day..imagine how good your hair and clothes would smell :)

Both of my favourites are bath bars as in my opinion they make the most creamy, soft bubbles…also i hate bath bombs with glitter, stars etc in them! The bars can be halved, quartered etc so they last longer and they leave my skin feeling sooooo soft and smelling great :)

Creamy candy bath: This gets brownie points for cuteness..its pink with a little flower on and the smell is uber sweet..just how i like it! Creates the softest bubbles is really moisturising on the skin!

Karma bubble bar: This scent is so unusual…oranges and spices…kind of a hippy, incense smell lol! Doesn't feel as soft on the skin as the candy bar does but this lingers on the skin much longer leaving me smelling…well….LUSH!

See this mitt...it's magic....Introducing the easiest way in the world to remove your make up!!

My salon has recently started using a new makeup range called Jane Iredale, and the magic mitt is one of their best sellers. Its the kind of product that makes you think "what did i ever do without it?"

It is soooo handy, you don't need any products, just the mitt so it is ideal for travel, staying over at friends/boyfriends etc! It removes all mascaras..even waterproof!! I think if it can get my mascara off it must be good lol!! I think the proof of how well it removes eye makeup can be seen in the pic..once upon a time my mitt was a lovely peach colour :(

It is made from specially knitted micro-fibers, When wet they create a hydromechanical process that breaks the surface tension of the oils that bond make up to the skin. This emulsion is then swept away by the mitt. To clean it all you do is wash under the tap with an anti-bacterial hand soap...cannot be machine washed lol!!! It retails for around £15 but the cheapest i found was £11.70 on http://www.lovedbyyou.co.uk/product-jane-iredale-magic-mitt-1384 if anyone is interested :)

The great thing is that it is suitable for all skin types, even sensitive as it doesnt affect the skins natural acid mental....so happy days lol!

Skin: Millia

Milia are keratin filled small cysts that form usually in areas where the pores of the skin are very small! Commonly around the eye or cheek area.

They are often mistaken for white heads or just uneven skin.

Why do they appear and what causes them:

First of all there are two types of milia:

Primary milia: this may result from oil glands that have not fully or properly developed

and

Secondary milia: this results from trauma to the skin i.e stripping the skin causing it to over produce oils or using products which are too heavy for this skin which blocks it.

If its the first one..then its just the way your skin is and milia will usually disappear on their own

If its the second type then the skin care routine is to blame and should be changed and milia will have to be removed.

Tips: Never use oil based products near eyes..this is why eye cream was invented..creams are too rich for the small pores around the eyes. This goes for foundation and cheap oil filled concealers too...they simply clog pores and doesn't allow them to sweat and breathe!

Oh and yes the amount of clients with milia that told me they use body lotion on their face and suffer from milia...yikes..no wonder lol!

How to keep them away:

If the milia hasn't shifted within a few months it is best to get them removed at your salon....i don't know if youve tried but these suckers wont budge like normal spots with a hard squeeze!! It requires using a special needle to prick the skin, then the milia pops out like a little pod :). i promise this does not hurt if done correctly!

Once milia is removed they shouldn't return as long as the following is applied:

Exfoliate once/twice a week..do not over exfoliate..this can cause them!!!

Apply a separate eye cream

Steer clear of oily make up

Tone after cleansing to remove any excess product

Skin: Dehydrated

Im starting with this one as it is the most common in the uk, and funnily it is the most unheard of and hardest to decipher!

Please remember this is a general overview of typical dehydrated skin..I'm not a dermatologist but i am sharing all that i know :) if you have any specific probs just email me!

This skin type is commonly misdiagnosed as oily/combination. I have to say i believe combination skin is myth and a generalised term to package a product, if your serious about diagnosing your skin a therapst will always find the reason as to why the skin appears combination...unless your in your teens and hormones or medication play a part in oil secretion then there is always a reason for an oily t-zone..usually dehydration. confused, i was at first?? let me explain.....

What the skin will look and feel like:

Skin will commonly look dull, lifeless, sometimes ashy or sallow due to lack of moisture, usually has an oily t-zone and normal or tight cheeks, flat (no plumpness or glow to the skin). After cleansing cheeks may feel tight and oil returns within a few hours.

Tip: To check whether you skin is dehydrated....place a flat palm on the side of your cheek and push the skin in towards your nose...if tiny little feathery lines appear (not big wrinkles) you are dehydrated...imagine a plump juicy fresh peach...if you pushed the flesh of the fruit it would be firm and crinkle free, give it a week when the moisture has gone from the flesh and the fruit will crumple under touch! Random but this is how it was explained to me and it stuck lol!

Why does this happen:

Lack of moisture (not drinking enough fluids), air con/heated work environments, alcohol, smoker, lots of salt in the diet, lack of sleep, flights.

All of the above dehydrate the body...and a dehydrated body will use what moisture it has on vital organs etc first...unfortunately the skin, hair and nails come last.....hence if your body is dehydrated then so is your skin. Now here's the bit that most people don't know and this is why people assume they have oily/combination skin! If the skin isn't receiving enough moisture it will start to create its own lubrication to protect itself in the form of...you guessed it..OIL!!!!

What you should not do to dehydrated skin:

Over cleanse and exfoliate...as this skin type is confused with oily skin most people strip the skin to remove oil...this will only make the condition worse. Over stripping dehydrated skin can result in acne, skin bumps and breakouts that just wont go away. This skin will go into stress/survival mode when over stimulated and stripped so therefore will create even more oil to protect its self...more oil=more spots and even millia! I will so a separate post on millia as this is a real problem for most people!

What can you do to treat it:

Cleanse twice daily with a gentle foaming cleanser, make sure cleansers do not contain SLS (Sodium lauryl sulphate) these can be drying, this is also true for alcohol!

Exfoliate once a week...any more and the skin will come dependant and create more oil :O

Moisturise in the day with a light lotion, creams will often feel too heavy on the oilier zones of the face..i only really recommend creams for dry or sensitive skins

In the evening...this may seem backwards but the best thing to apply is face oil...clarins do one which i cannot rate highly enough...this oil treats the skin and it is to be used every night as a prescription..it plumps the skin and skin drinks it up!!

Mask once a week to boost the skin and plump

Remember skin has to get worse before it gets better...if there is dirt deep down in the pores and you switch to a proper routine it has to come out somehow..please don't give up!!

Ok so i was inspired to do this post after reading Bubblegarms blog :)

I have been a beauty therapist for a little over 4 years now and i suddenly realised that I haven't really used my knowledge to try and help with most of our biggest problems...skin!!

If I had a pound for every woman I see that misdiagnoses their skin id be rich!! I think the general information out there for the general public is awful and terribly misleading...I mean it is thought that if your skin looks oily then you must be oily right? WRONG!!! Im going to do a series of posts to cover most skin types...i will explain the misconceptions with each skin symptom and give you tips to help treat it! I have worked with Clarins, Aveda, Environ and Elemis so I haven't been brand brainwashed in anyway..all these companies have the same theories on skin types so i hope i can help..stay tuned :) xx

I'm going to be honest…i cant leave the house without make-up..sad but true..P

the funny thing is i don't even have bad skin…but i feel my skin looks dull and lifeless without foundation!

However today i went on a dog walk and shock horror i actually only popped on some mascara and lip gloss :O

For once my skin glowed on its own…amazing!

The only thing i can put it down to is an amazing product that I've been trialling for my salon…

The product range is called Environ..anyone heard of it? (i hadn't) the rep came in and showed us unbelievable pictures of peoples skin before and after..i was blown away and agreed to be the salon guinea pig :) I wanted to see if it would give my skin the glow i crave and get rid of the bumps on my forehead!

I have been using the Avst moisturiser for one month and all i can say is WOW! My skin glows, and i haven't had a breakout in ages…it must be the moisturiser as i haven't changed anything else in my regime! i really am amazed!

The product would of never enticed me if i hadn't seen the before and after pictures as the packaging is clinical and it smells awful…but this has taught me a lot! Never judge a book by its cover springs to mind

Yes i look like an alien :)

Its all in the name of beauty…just a quick review on the body shops seaweed mask!

After searching for the instructions for a good 10 mins..i discovered them by peeling back two layers of plastic on the tub..v confusing lol!! I know lots of people had a hard time finding them too!

Anyway..i cleansed and exfoliated (this is must before applying a mask..it enables the product to penetrate the skin, dead surface skin cells are a no-no!) then applied the mask.

When it first went on i will admit it stung a little..i was surprised as i certainly do not have sensitive skin! However this soon wore off and the mask began to harden…don't you just love pulling faces when this happens?

After washing it off i must say my blackheads on my nose looked noticeably clearer…and id say my pores definatly looked more refined. My skin felt super soft too…

I would definatly recommend this product to people with oily skins..I'm going to use this just on my tea zone from now on as i found it a little to stripping on the old cheeks!

Colour sensational review!

The products i get most excited about are lipsticks....i own so, so many i just love when i find new colours :)

One thing that i cant abide in lipsticks is a gorgeous colour but no lasting power and a dry feel on the lips :(....Some examples of this:

Mac myth..love the colour...dry as hell!!!
YSL frozen mango...love the colour, and texture...last less than 5 minutes on the lips!

So i was surprised to find the new maybelline lipsticks have both fantastic pigmentation and moisturising properties, super creamy(i think the honey nectar provide this)..I'm a very happy bunny! I also love the packaging, very sleek and stylish...one to be proud of when applying!

Above are my two fave colours, Rose ambre which is a very wearable day pink and Coral pop which is super bright but i toned it down with concealer as a base..i love muchly :)

So i knew there would be lots of maybelline posts, so i thought id crack straight on to the reviews......

Over the next week i will be choosing my faves to blog on..i will chose products i think are worthy of blogging and recommending....and i have to say even though i am a make up label snob i am SO surprised with some of the gems in my goody bag...maybelline have come up trumps!! I have around 6 fab things to share with you guys but for now i will start with the nail polish!!

First of all lets set the scene..I'm a beauty therapist and a self confessed snob when it comes to polishes....I USED to believe you get what you pay for...my polish box is full of O.P.I, Jessica (the polish my salon stocks), Creative and Orly! I don't mean to be this way but when I've tried my friends cheaper polishes I've been appalled with the crappy thick brushes, which to be honest even i couldn't paint with (and i do that for a living :S)!! Also my friends nails are constantly chipped so it wasn't selling it for me lol!! But now i will eat my words because these polishes are amazing!

In my goody bag i received Midnight blue (my fave) and Cerise!

So half heartedly i painted them(v negative i know)..and wow the brush is very professional..it allows you to sweep around the base of your nail like professional brushes do. You can see from the picture the neatness the brush creates (i didn't make any mess :))

The colour pigmentation is also fab, i hate sheer polishes..so thumbs up here!

Finally onto what the product claims..to stay put for 7 days...well i have stupidly bendy nails and already this varnish hasn't chipped after 2 days..in this time i may add i have had a bath, washed my hair and done a full days work at the salon..trust me my nails are normally chipped :( but to my amazement they are perfect! I must say i am actually speechless, I'm guessing the iron and calcium in the product helps the product stay put?! What ever it is it works!!

Last point..it dried in 1 minute..OH MY GOSH!

They need to hurry up and make more shades because I'm seriously stocking up..so, so glad i tried this!

New mac collection...well all 2 items of it :) x

Mondays are my day off work...seeing as i couldn't find any good swatches of the new mac collections i decided to head into cambridge for a proper look..rather than wasting my money mail ordering collections (lately all the lip colours ive ordered ive hated..not like the swatches at all)

So off i went and to be honest..i wasn't all that impressed..i don't like glitter pigments and i already have the best one in my opinion..Cocomotion! So in the end i got only 2 things...

Close to real lipstick
Young thing lipglass

and yes they are both nudes.....let me correct that...perrrrfect nudes!! I got 4 of the close to real lippys as it seriously gorgeous...and i love the lustre lipsticks...theyre moisturising which is nice in a nude..unlike myth which is super drying!

I apologise for the rubbish swatches...camera would not perform today lol!! Full face pic has lippy and gloss on..just lip pic has Close to real lipstick on its own! :)

I also had 12 items to return to back so i got two free lipsticks in Shy girl and an old favourite Hue!

I urge you guys to go see the collections as i found this collections swatches really misguided..I'm sick of ordering "nudes" and them being what i would class as browns!!

I also got lots of clothes at the weekend..i will be doing a post on that but for now i slipped in a pic of my fave dress i got from republic....I'm mad on navy at the mo..makes a nice change from black...still considering taking off the gold chain bit...cant decide if its a bit tacky..thoughts please!! So i went shopping to Harlow and got some goodies..you know the days when you don't need anything but just buy things for the sake of it?? Yeah i was having one of those days lol..but none the less i got some lovely bits.....

Yankee candles: Black cherry and cherry blossom...i loooove cherries just as much as i love Yankee candles!! I have cherry limeade already and now i am proud to add these gorgeous scents to my collection of candles that look pretty but rarely get used lol!!

Cook books: Yep i was feeling hungry in matalan lol! The cadburry one is AMAZING!

Tigi goodies: Txmaxx jobbie...i get what ever i can pair..you know what its like lots of tigi but hardly any that match!! So i was lucky and these smell lush..kind of like austrailian aussie hair line! Also got the re-usable pink girly bag from matalan!

And finally...frilly pants....I'm obsessed with them! The mission: to have them in every colour..nearly there lol xx

So i am running out of time to do this on myself but i so, so wanted to enter..then i rememberd a few months ago i did a look of the Joker on my friend for my fancy dress party!

I was really happy with the results of this look...considering ive never done anything like this before and my friend has a real baby face (lol) i was shocked how good this looked on him:

For the night we sprayed his hair green too! I created this look using a product called rigid collodium...it goes on wet and then dries crating a scared look...i lined this on his forehead...along the lips to make the famous scars and a bit under the eyes to add age to the look!

Then literally all i used were white, red and black clown paints. I then used black eyeliner to deepen the colour of the eyes. To make the look look not so perfect white i then flicked the face with water..to create a sweaty,desheveled look!!

This look was great when put with the full costume and my friend kept licking his lips in the joker style tut tut lol!! xx

I'm a huge fan of Philosophy...the packaging, scents and the fact that the products actually work..however at nearly £20 a pop for a shower gel..its a bit steep!! Now i don't know how long treacle moon products have been at tescos but i only stumbled across them last month...all i can say is how naughty...they are almost identical to philosophy!!

Now naughty is always nice.....the price.....v cheap! The product range only has a few scents but wow they smell lush! If your a fan of coconut you'll love that one..super sweet! So i picked up the raspberry kiss shower gel and lemonade days scrub....I have used both and they smell great and leave a scent on your skin! All i can say is I'm converted..although i will miss my favourites..melon daiquiri and frozen lemon custard i just cannot justify spending sooooooo much when these little gems are soooo cheap!!

Have any of you guys tried treacle moon products?

This post is inspired by a post i read on Saskia's blog...it was a post that included a picture of my passion....cup cakes! Yes i am a true desperate housewife (although not married lol) i loooove baking! I just love how happy cupcakes and birthday cakes make people feel..i challenge anyone not to smile when you receive a cake made especially for you! :)I have touched on this passion before in a previous post but Saskia's post reminded me to update some of the cakes I've made and help any of you guys if you fancy giving it a whirl! So I've included some piccys and some books which i think actually help and more importantly..they're achievable designs etc!

If you guys like this kind of pot or want any help then let me know as i will do some more posts on cakes i make..when i get the magical gift of time to bake lol :)

Also another quick passion of mine..hot choc..not just any hot choc though..land lakes raspberry hot chocolate! It is my favourite drink evvvvver..has anyone tried this? OK now for the bad news...it..like many other great things is only available in the US...now i need a favour can any kind blogger from the US support my habit and maybe send me some...obviously i will pay for the goods or if you'd prefer i can send some English delights...things are getting desperate people I'm on my last cup...see evidence below!!

Hi everyone! So i have a new fave lip combo...unfortunately its a NYX one..and i cant get my mitts on it easily..once a year on hold i guess...but anywho i picked up these colours in Vegas and i love them together:

Orange soda lippy

And

Vintage sheer gloss

The beauty of the gloss is that its actually pigmented...most "nude" glosses come out waaaay too sheer for my liking..this is fab on its own as a nude lip but i love the hint of coral the orange soda adds!!

Also I'm loving Jessica's blushing princess nail polish..cute name huh?! We have had this colour in our salon for yonks but I've never played with it...but now this may become a must have of mine :)

And last but by no means least..i got a very cute warehouse dress from ASOS! The novelty of this colour will fade with my tan lol..as I'm usually a black dress girl xx

Lets set the scene....so I'm very bored on a Monday night and I'm searching the net for randomness...and then....i come across something that brings out both the grown up and inner child in me! I live at home with the parents and brother and i really should move out one day...hmmm but with what Ive found on the net i don't think I'm quite "mature" enough to go just yet...yes my friends i really would like to live in a house like this:

Am i completely insane or does anyone else find the idea of this adorable..i mean how could you ever be miserable living here? I thought Minnie mouses house in Disney was good but this takes the hello kitty shaped biscuit!!!

After finding this i decided to search more pink houses etc..yep i know very bored right?! And wow i loooove betsy johnsons pad..i love her fashion line and now her house! Maybe this is a more realistic and mature dream to have!!

Confessions of a shoe-a-holic

Help..I'm quickly turning into a shoe devil...ok so i suppose I've always been one..but this is now getting serious...I've moved into the world of..dum.dum.dum!!! DESIGNER SHOES!!!!!!

Ok let me start by saying shoes are my 'thing'...my one love item..the same as people love designer bags etc...for me shoes win it..they always fit you no matter what your weight and i truly believe the wrong shoes can make or break an outfit....for years i have lusted after GINA shoes...the glitz, the daintiness..i just wanted them..although my sensible mind has always said £300 plus is just silly for a pair of shoes that i doubt id dare wear in case i ruined them or lost a swarkovski lol!!

So why oh why am i now buying designer shoes...I'll tell you why...sales! They have convinced me im getting a deal and now im stuck with two gorgeous but ridiculously priced shosies...why do we do it lol..so here goes I'm sharing my guilt!

This first pair i got in the states..they're miu miu...i was enticed by the big red half price sign..i never knew i was heading straight into the designer section or nordstrom..yikes...the damage was done after trying them on..an looking at the price second..i just had to have them..also my best friend sat there nodding saying "you have to they're a bargain"...what would you do lol?? Anyway they seriously are the most comfy shoes I've ever worn..despite being scarily high!

Ok onto the next article...Dior..ive wanted these for soooooooooo long..however being so pricey i was living in a dream world..until...yep you guessed it SALE..now these i do think are a bargain..i never in all my years imagined id own a pair of Dior shoes...as sad as it seems i think i would save these babies in a fire...i love them so much and to me they are a bargain...although they didn't have a size seven so I'm going have to do some serious stretching to fit into these tiny 6's...any tips?

So when i was doing vids on YouTube i got lots of requests to see my skincare routine..well since im struggling keeping up with YouTube and a blog im going to post it here:

Day to day:

*One step water comfort cleaners by clarins..pop on a cotton pad..wipe..viola! A lazy girls best friend..i love this stuff..cleansing without water so there is no excuse :p

*Simple eye makeup remover

*Hydra quench lotion by clarins..i use this in the summer...much lighter than creams!

*Hydra quench cream gel...i use this in the winter..thicker and more conditioning

*Doux me aromatherapy cream..this is my night time cream i love the scent its a signal for sleep for me...my friend works for this company so i get salon size :)

Treats (not as often as i should):

*One step gentle exfo by clarins..smells of orange...try and use it in the shower as it foams twice a week

*Clarins blue orchid oil..for my dehydrated skin i put this under a mask to boost my skins hydration..great the day after a night on the tiles :)

*Clarins Hydra care mask...you don't have to wash this baby off just soaks straight in lol...but i remove it i don't like to feel anything on my skin!

So yeah that's it...i stick to what i know as i work with Clarins product and i select what i think is the cream of the crop..any skin care q's ask away..put my training to good use xx

Also i have to add....i love the perfume viva la juicy...the bottle, the scent..yep!

On my face are the usual suspects that i wear for all my looks with the addition of e.l.f persimmon shimmer stick on brows and nose!

Eyes:

*Mac naked lunch all over lid

*Nars mykonos applied with pinkie to outer half

*E.L.F persimmon stick on inner c's

*Clarins chocolate brown liquid liner pen...such an easy way to apply liquid btw!!

*Mac zoom lash...sorry for the clumps i reapplied mascara on top of todays old crusty stuff yummy!

On my lippies im wearing Macs creme d'nude....such an easy look but i had to show how lush NARS mykonos is...i heart it muchly!!

Also today i picked up some uber cute mini dry batiste shampoos....i have the huuuge size but these are fabby for the handbag..go get um!!

And i cannot stop listening to V V Browns 'shark in the water' song....does anyone else love love this tune?? xx

New hair colour

I think i have finally found my fave hair colour ever.....i use prof colours on my hair as i think they give off more shine and are better quality! I have searched for a dark brown with gold but no red for sooooooooooooooooooo long now and i think majjirel 4.3 may be it..yes its very dark but i loooove it..what do you think? xxx

Body shop review part 1....

Ok so i was very lucky to be sent some goodies to test out from the body shop! I have a few things to review so this is part one...exfoliators!!

I should start by saying my skin is combination..i get an oily t zone and normal cheeks!

I was sent 2...vitamin c micro refiner and aloe gentle exfoliator...after using them both for a 2 week period each here's what i think....

Vitamin c micro refiner:

*RRP: £12.20 for 75ml

*Contains antioxidant vitamin c, Shea butter and silica crystals

I love the citrus scent of this product..i always find that if a product smells lush I'm more likely to use it on a regular basis! However i imagined that the small silica crystals would be gentle..i was wrong..i find this exfoliator too harsh for my skin! I found i didn't want to rub much at all as it was very powerful! The citrus vitamin c did clear up all of my oil though and my skin felt and looked very matte and refined! All in all i would say sensitive skins stay away...id recommend this to someone with crazy dry skin that can take the strength of this exfoliator! Also i think this product is a little pricey for an exfoliator!

Aloe gentle exfoliator:

*RRP £7.30 for 75ml

*Contains aloe, jojoba beads and glycerin for hydration...yes please :)

I prefer this exfoliator hands down..gentle yet effective!! Ok so it doesn't smell as nice but that's due to it being a sensitive product im guessing! Im crazy on aloe..i really do believe it is the best ingredient for healing and boosting skins hydration levels...its the only moisturiser i take on holiday as i think its the kindest thing to use on sensitive skin! Aloe is normally expensive so i am pleased with the price of this product..very reasonable! I definitely will be buying this as it did its job and i feel it is kind to my skin :)

Ok so despite being stupidly girly...im actually a tough cookie..i really struggled to think of five films that have brought a tear to my eye...so if these suckers make me cry..they must be good lol!

The notebook: This is by far my favorite film...it was the first film that got me crying in a cinema..beautiful story and so, so romantic...why cant men in this lifetime be like Noah?? x

My sisters keeper: Oh my god the first film where i cried the whole way through and not just at the ending..so, so sad. They show you far more than i ever thought they would...left me feeling really humble...even men were crying to this one..please go and see it..i think the girls deserve an Oscar they were so likable and believable!

The green mile: Hmm I've just realised that the top 3 are all books too...interesting! Yep this film is on most peoples list..how could they kill john coffee..oh and little Mr jingles..bless xx

Watership down: Told you i don't cry much at films so now I'm really scraping the barrel and going back to my childhood.....i still cant listen to the song "bright eyes" without getting teary eyed...i think my love of animals came into this one ha..i still cry if anyone hits a bunny in a car..sad lol!

The pursuit of happiness: I watched this on a plane to America and me and my friend were in floods..theres something about men crying that sets even me off..fab film!

Ok now for some make.up haulage from the good ol u.s.a!

I have to say i went crazy in sephora...i spent farrrr too much..but at the time i was in the mind set of "you cant get this in the uk" hmmmm dangerous moto me thinks! Anyways they have so many fun palettes....lush shadow colours and best of all its all cheaper than the uk..bonus...so this is part one or the sephora splurge:

Kat von d eyeshadow palette, lorac palete, nars lola lola, nars mykonos cream shadow, Ysl frozen mango lippy:

i swatched my two faves from the Kat Von palette i love how unusual the green is :) the look of the palette is also lovely...great pigmentation and very smooth..no fallout! However brushes in this kit are useless!

this is the lorac palette..i must admit i find the packaging horrid..looks like an old ladies going out bag if you ask me but i love the colours...although they are similar to the Kat Von d one ooops! The brush in this one is much better!

Nars lola lola and cream shadow mykonos...the hype of lola lola is correct...fab unusual colour i loves it! However i must say i love myknonos much, much more...i never use cream shadows but this colour id amazing...plus its just sooooo simple to use..i just swipe it with my finger on top of macs naked lunch and voila! Below are swatches of them both plus frozen mango lippy which i love..i just wish it would be more pigmented for the money and stay on my lips longer :( xx

My two fave shops in America are guess and forever 21....I shopped a lot so i have had to segment all my buys and first of all are my guess goodies!!

Ive always been very cheap when it comes to sunnies...I'm clumsy so £10 jobbies are normally good for me as they will only end up crushed etc! However in Vegas all the divas had designer sunnies at the pool and i got glasses envy....So i got my first designer glasses from guess and i love them..now i just have to refrain from sitting on them :)

Again I'm not into watches at all....i only wear one for work which is a tatty new look one as i hate spending lots on a watch that is going to end up in a pedicure bowl at work lol...but once again with all the bling watches at the pool i decided i needed one too! I must say i feel very bling in my new watch!

I also got shell gold earrings on sale..bargain and a huge taupe bag with chloe style padlock..v glam!!! x

Well I'm back from my hols...boooo!! I hate the holiday blues lol!! For those of you that don't know i went to Vegas and LA for 2 weeks...got back yesterday and the dreaded jet lag is here eeeekkk! I have soooooo much to catch up on..dying to read all the blogs and watch YouTube vids I've missed! Plus i have tonnes of goodies and reviews to share with you all....however i don't think i will be doing vids for a few weeks as I've put on half a stone!!! Anyone who has been to the US will know this is quite easily done with all the yummy buffets on offer ooops!! Long awaited storage

Many of you have been into the WHSmith Laura Ashley and blossom drawers for super storage solutions...well after much trawling looking for a Laura Ashley one i finally gave up!! So a few weeks ago i was in tk maxx and saw a lush glass box with drawers...perfect except they were all smashed or chipped....bad design me thinks...but anyway desperate for them i tried a further 5 tks just to get them...and today i finally did....drumroll...2 unchipped glass storage systems! i just love the pattern and my rooms black gold and cream so they're perfect! I'm using them as jewellery and lash storage units...also i got a cool mirror brush holder..I'm a very happy shopper!! xx

Hi everyone!!

So today my get bent eyeliner brush came in the post from benefit...I'm not crazy about benefit products..however after viewing a pixiwoo vid where she used this brush i was intrigued...

All i can say is where has this brush been all my life...for the past few years i have struggled to get my MAC angled brush into the inner corners with little success...I've mostly settled for kohl..but we all know the staying power of Kohl's isn't great for the inner lash and water lines!!

This brush does all the hard work for you..just place it in the inner corner and swipe out..in one move a super straight line!! Amazing i highly recommend this brush girlie's..i will make a point of using it in my next vid xx

Ok so i like elf products but ive found myself wanting a lot of their products from U.S you tubers....I couldn't work out why i couldn't find the products on the site..until i visited the U.S site!! The studio line is farrrrrrrrrrrr better..higher quality brushes etc...so a few weeks ago i contacted them and asked whether the studio line will be available in the UK..and it is coming sooooon..well may but im excited i want soooooo much! I also love the way the packaging is smarter..almost reminds me of something..urm nars springs to mind lol.......

Hmmm so i was apprehensive about writing this blog as i feel I'm the only one who didn't get on with this product!! Ive used it on different styles over the week and i just don't like it :(!

Don't get me wrong i looooooooooove volume and backcombing so therefore i thought this product would be a keeper but i just cant bond with it lol!!

It defiantly doesn't turn to a paste or liquid on my hands...if anything i find it rolls dead skin cells away off my hands..anyone else had this? Anyways i still applied the "paste" into my hair and all i can say is candy floss......i love volume..which it does provide but i hate feeling crispy!! I hate crispy hairsprays too..so if you like me and like a Strong hold with a soft feel you too will not like this product! I feel so bad for being the only one to give it a negative review but I'm not going to lie to you guys and maybe this product just isn't my cup of tea! I was sooo excited by this product from reading the pot but in reality it only does what a good Strong hairspray would do!!

Am i the only one who doesn't get on with this product?? xx

My last look..my inspiration was the cupids bow vid from the web site..also i love how whimsical the illamasque models lahes are so i used feather lashes...this look was supposed to be slightly gothic but i dont think my skin tone allows for this lol!! So i actually think it looks quite pin up 50s style!!

Hey hunnies....

So this weekend was my birthday weekend and i thought id share some funny pics..some close up to see my human hair eyelashes (which were amazing) and new lippy snob which i looooove!! I hope you can have a giggle!! I asked for dollars for my birthday however i got some fabby presents too...so i thought id do a haul and tell you what i think of my goodies as some of them are beauty related..my friends know me too well...here goes..........

*Victoria secret body lotion and body wash in pure seduction..this is seriously amazing..you guys have to smell it its like bath and body works sweet pea but better...my new love!! Even my guy friends commented on this one..rare!!

*Princess body scrub...i love the perfume so good choice!

*Dior lippy in 319 and pallette its a travel one so comes with 3 mini brushes..very handy!

*I also took a pic of the maxi dress i was blabbing on about in a previous blog!!

*Kenneth jay lane: I have loved Kenneth for a few years ever since i saw it on the lovely Jessica Simpson.....i wish i had more Muller to afford this lush stuff...in the states I'm gunna go mad on this lol..here's a few pieces i have my eye on....

*Coral/peach and lemon: I love these colours..especially in cardigan form...these colours are so summery! I'm currently sporting this little number from oasis...

*Feather falsies: I have gone all whimsical and want to play with fun feather lashes...i want to use feather lashes for mizzworthys comp!

*Cute undies: Every now and again i go through a stage of wanting cute, girly undies..even though i have no fella and a draw full already lol!

I'm sure by now you are all aware that i heart leopard print....i do find it tacky when people overkill it and go o.t.t but if worn correctly i think its fab and classy!! At the mo I'm soooo into leopard make up..and whilst on polyvore website today i spotted a Helena Rubinstein mascara that i never knew existed...wow..looks fab but until i can tear myself away from my ysl mascara have any of you guys heard of this brand or maybe tried this?? Anyways I'll pop some of my fave leopard/animal print cosmetics and accessories just for drroooollsss!! xx

dove hair minimising review!!

The lovely jaz contacted me to do a trial for the new dove anti-perspirant deodorant that is said to leave underarms feeling hair free for longer!! It may seem that I've been lazy in doing this review but my idea was to give it a 4 week trial to really see any results..this way i thought the product would get a fair review!!

Ok so before i used this product i did take the plunge and grew my under arms..and then took pics!!! My plan was to then shave..thank god....and then use the dove and take pics a few weeks after......however i have not seen enough of a hair difference to warrant putting the nasty pics up lol!!

So although for me (i must say i have strong critters under my arms lol) i did not see any less hair i must say the scent is lush and my skin under the arm was much...much smoother! The hairs are also softer! I usually use mitchum roll on as i do suffer with nervous sweats lol and my job is physical so i have found mitchum is a trusted faithful!! For me the dove did not provide enough protection against sweating but this may be due to my physical job?!

So my advice...give it a whirl...if nothing else soft skin and smelling lush is a definite!! xxx

H&M hauling!

Hi everyone!!

So i after weeks of busyness with cake making and what not i was ready to get back to blogging and making YouTube vids!!! However I'm truly peed off lol...my wisdom teeth have decided to make an appearance....in the form of hamster cheeks!! i seriously never thought they could be so painful...well anyways i have had infection after infection and the earliest i can get an appointment for them out is may eeeeeeekkkk...so during this time i cant do any vids as it even hurts to talk sometimes!! Another bummer is that its my bday weekend this week and I'm on antibiotics..great! I'm crapping myself as i have a huuuuge fear of needles and i have to be asleep during the op...I'm stressing already...so before i go on to haul has anyone had all 4 wisdom's out...if so tell tell..i want to know what to expect lol!!

Anyways...........so I'm a bit hello kitty mad...have been way before the whole MAC trend!! I wasn't too crazy about the hello kitty for MAC but i love the stuff H&M do...so here's what i got on a recent trip...

I thought the bags and fragrance would be fab for my hols in June...well this is how i justified it to myself!! the eyeshadow is fab for pigmentation and is a great all over colour wash!! The bronzer again is fab but I'm keeping this for hols and its a bit crazy for daytime over here lol, but i can imagine It with a tan looking fabbbb!!

I also got an amazing pink/purple maxi dress...I've never tried a maxi dress as i thought it would flatter me, but i can honestly say they suit my shape soooooooo much...trust me i never like my figure but i think maxis could be the way to go lol!! i will post pics of the dress up in June...i plan to do a whole blog on my hols so no doubt i will wear the dress to death!!!

Sorry ive been so busy as of late..been super busy making cakes for people!! when i get a good selection of pics ill post them to show you what ive been up to!!

little haul time!! i know people must be sick of hello kitty but i only got 2 items so i wont bore you for long!! i got cutester lippy and mimmy lipglass...I'm obsessed with hello kitty but not overly impressed with this collection...like Ive said before I'm holding out for sugar sweet and warrior collection...so my style and a fab new and exciting colour range me thinks!!

alongside kitty stuff i got number 32 lashes...i searched for a long time to find natural but defining lashes and these fit the bill for me i love them and always come back to them!! i also got lippys in snob which i love and blankety which is sooo going back..far too brown!!

aside from mac i got this new gloss in number 2....the pic doesn't do it justice..its amazing on..and so it should be for £19 a pop!! my new love is ysl....even though it comes with a hefty price tag!! mucho love!! xx

OK so first of all id like to apologise for being extremely lazy recently on the blog and YouTube front...i seem to be sooooooooo busy as feb is a month of friends and family bdays lol! but anyway...i have a huuuuuuuge mac and cherry culture order coming soon so I'm kinda waiting in those before i do any more hauls/vids etc!! anyways i went shopping to Milton Keynes yday and here's what i got...p.s i was supposed to show you the heart shaped krispy kremes too but urrrmmm they kinda disappeared lol!!!! yum!!

OK so only one make up item shock horror..but i wanted to get the benefit boi-ing concealer for a long time now..and for £2 more i got the same sized concealer and 3 shadows all in a cute palette...result...i love these colours too!!

hmmm this is a venting post sorry but I'm frustrated grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

ok so this is why i was nervous of doing YouTube...stupid nasty comments!! now im probably being over sensitive but i have had nothing but nice comments and support from people on YouTube (big thanks) and today i log in and find a comment from a young girl telling me "you tan way too much" now come on i know i shouldn't take it to heart but heres why i do::::

*i wasn't wearing fake tan...that is my natural skin colouring...therefore isn't this a bit racist..after all she is commenting on my skin colour!

*the girl that said this is mixed race too so surely she should know how hurtful comments like that can be!1

I'm sorry but i guess it struck a chord with me as my dad was adopted for being mixed race as a child..harsh but true...i just wish people would engage their brain before saying stupid things!!
i don't mind constructive criticism but this is just mean!!

sorry guys i know I'm being super sensitive but its really made me question whether i want to continue doing vids, as i have zilch confidence and this dont make me feel much better..i take things to heart and i care what people think wayyyyyyyy too much !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

id never dream of commenting along the lines of woah your too pale or woah your too black...people should remember if you haven't got anything nice to say don't say it at all!!!
